Matt Kalman: Boston Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy said that forward Patrice Bergeron won’t play during the Montreal-Ottawa road trip.

Boston Bruins: Bruins forward Brett Ritchie isn’t traveling with the team. He’s out with an infection.

Mike Harrington: The Buffalo Sabres have announced that defenseman Rasmus Dahlin left last night’s game with a concussion.

“Ramus Dahlin has a concussion and very disappointing,” coach Ralph Krueger informed reporters following the loss. “We’ll let the league deal with the judgment of what happened. Right now, we’re just worried about Rasmus and getting him healthy and hoping it’s not a long-term injury.”

Ryan S. Clark: Colorado Avalanche forward Gabriel Landeskog was meeting with doctors yesterday.

Forward Colin Wilson is not close to returning to the lineup.

Forward Matt Calvert is still in concussion protocol.

Forward Mikko Rantanen had a good first team practice yesterday.

Defenseman Erik Johnson is day-to-day.

Ryan S. Clark: Avs coach Jared Bednar said that if Mikko Rantanen has another good practice and feels okay, he could play on Wednesday.

Jon Rosen: Los Angeles Kings coach Todd McLellan on Alec Martinez : “Marty took a skate into that arm area and got stepped on, and he’s going to be evaluated later on tonight, and we’ll have more for you tomorrow. It’s obviously not a good situation, but it’s all I can really give you right now. If I had any more, I’d share it with you.”

Sam Carchidi: Philadelphia Flyers forward Nolan Patrick was on the ice before practice yesterday.

Curtis Pashelka: San Jose Sharks forward Tomas Hertl missed last night’s game.

Forward Nicklas Backstrom was on the ice before practice. He’s day-to-day with an upper-body injury
