NHL Injury Updates
Boston Bruins: Boston Bruins Patrice Bergeron missed last night’s game with a lower-body injury. He is listed as day-to-day. Coach Bruce Cassidy:
“Finished last night in discomfort. If it wasn’t back to back, think he’d play. Don’t want him to miss 4 or 5 games.”
Boston Bruins: Injured Bruins who skated yesterday include Brett Ritchie, Torey Krug, Jake DeBrusk, and John Moore.
Ritchie is the closest to returning and could be in the lineup on Tuesday.
Paul Hamilton: Buffalo Sabres forward Kyle Okposo left night’s game with an upper-body injury.
Charlie Roumeliotis: Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Connor Murphy returned to the lineup last night.
Ryan S. Clark: Colorado Avalanche’s goaltender Philipp Grubauer is progressing each day according to coach Jared Bednar. Yesterday was the first practice that Grubauer went all out since his injury.
Bednar said that goaltender Pavel Francouz is feeling better but is still in concussion protocol.
Ryan S. Clark: Avalanche defenseman Nikita Zadorov returned to the lineup. Forward Tyson Jost is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
Eric Engels: Montreal Canadiens forward Jonathan Drouin went into and cleared concussion protocol after taking a hit from Alex Ovechkin. Drouin said that he suffered his injury in the third period and it wasn’t related to the hit.
Bruce Garrioch: Ottawa Senators forward Scott Sabourin has started doing some off-ice works. He hasn’t resumed skating and there is no timetable for his return.
Curtis Pashelka: San Jose Sharks Dalton Prout is out with an upper-body injury. There is no timetable on his return.
