NHL Injury Updates
Eric Stephens: Anaheim Ducks defenseman Brendan Guhle (lower-body) didn’t practice yesterday so their defensive pairings should stay the same today.
Forward Sam Steel (mid-body) was able to practice but it’s not known if he’ll play.
Michael Russo: Minnesota Wild forward Mats Zuccarello is questionable for tonight due to some “bumps and bruises” according to head coach Bruce Boudreau. He is traveling with the team.
Colin Stephenson: New York Rangers coach David Quinn said that Chris Kreider (lower-body), Marc Staal (maintenance), Mika Zibanejad (flu) and Brendan Lemieux (flu) are all day-to-day.
Bruce Garrioch: If Ottawa Senators forward Artem Anisimov is able to play is not known yet.
Kevin Kurz: San Jose Sharks Jacob Middleton is out four to six weeks.
Dalton Prout and Radim Simek skated yesterday but didn’t practice.
Sheng Peng: “Here’s a small detail that I just noticed, per @CapFriendly. #SJSharks have placed Jake Middleton on LTIR, which means SJS will have some relief if they go over cap as long as Middleton is on LTIR. Before relief, SJS currently has $35K in cap space.”
Tom Gulitti: Washington Capitals defenseman Michal Kempny (hamstring) said he feels ready to play today and will to talk to their staff about playing. If he doesn’t go tonight, he’ll be ready soon.
