Aaron Portzline of the Athletic: Forward Cam Atkinson is expected to be out the Blue Jackets lineup for the next four to six weeks with a fractured right foot.
Atkinson’s foot was broken on Saturday after he was hit by a Seth Jones slap shot. He will have surgery either today or tomorrow according to a source.
Brian Hedger: Forward Alexander Wennberg will be out for four to six weeks with a back injury. The Blue Jackets are expected to recall Tyler Motte, Jordan Schroeder and possibly one other player from the AHL.

Rick Dhaliwal: Hearing that defenseman Chris Tanev is feeling good and is getting anxious to get back in the lineup. If he’s able to play on Thursday, the Canucks could have some tough decisions to make.
Patrick Johnston: Forward Alexander Burmistrov‘s agent said that he’s retiring from the NHL.
Patrick Johnston: Burmistrov’s agent said that the idea of retiring had been talked about for “three or four weeks.”
Jeff Peterson: After Burmistrov questioned coach Travis Green publicly to the media, you knew that his time with the Canucks would likely be coming to an end.
Joey Kenward: The Canucks will be at 45 contracts when Burmistrov comes off the books. This will give them an extra slot to sign former draft picks, CHL free agents or College free agents before the season is over.
