NHL News: Brandon Dubinsky Signs Extension With Blue Jackets

  • Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch: The Blue Jackets and Brandon Dubinsky agreed on a six-year, $35.1 million contract extension. He’ll get $5.85 million in each of the six seasons. The deal carries a no-movement clause from now through 2017-18. A limited no-trade clause starts in 2018-19 and runs through 2020-21.

    Dubinsky was acquired from the Rangers along with Artem Anisimov, Tim Erixon and a first round pick (Kerby Rychel) for Rick Nash.

The 28-year Dubinsky was drafted 60th overall in the 2nd round of the 2004 draft by the Rangers.
