Helene St. James: GM Holland on 2017 first-round pick Michael Rasmussen: “We are going to give (Michael) Rasmussen a chance to be on the team next year.”

Ted Kulfan: Defenseman Niklas Kronwall expects to play next season if his health remains good.

Helene St. James: Krowall said that he can’t see why Henrik Zetterberg wouldn’t play next year as long as his back can hold up.

On the Florida Panthers …

Matthew DeFranks: Goaltender Roberto Luongo said for sure that he’ll be back next year and is hoping to play 50-60 games

Brooks Bratten: Both Calle Jarnkrok and Yannick Weber (upper-body for both) practiced again yesterday.

On the New York Rangers …

Dan Rosen: Goaltender Henrik Lundqvist said that he had been dealing with a knee injury all year that was likely related an issue he had at the World Championship last year. Lundqvist added that it didn’t affect how he played. He’ll meet with doctors in the next few days.

Rick Carpiniello: Lundqvist will have an MRI and may need some work on his knee injury.

On the Ottawa Senators …

Brent Wallace: Eugene Melnyk when asked if there were any circumstances that he’d sell the team: “..there is no price. if something is not for sale, it’s not for sale.”

Ian Mendes: “One thing that is crystal clear from tonight: There is a complete lack of trust and respect from the Sens organization towards the mainstream media who cover them on a daily basis. Organization believes we misreported and blew several things out of proportion.”

John Rodenburg: (going off of Mendes’ tweet) “I will also say on behalf of , we have asked for interviews with Pierre Dorion and Eugene Melnyk frequently thru-out the last half of the season. That would be their opportunity to ‘set the record straight’. None of those asks were answered.”

Sens Communications: The Senators reassigned forwards Filip Chlapik and Colin White to the AHL.

Lou Korac: Defenseman Robert Bortuzzo has a left MCL injury. He doesn’t require surgery and just rest should be good.

Lou Korac: Sounding like the Blues will give Robert Thomas a good shot at making the team next year.

On the Tampa Bay Lightning …

Bryan Burns: Coach Jon Cooper on having playoff experience: “What I like about our group is we’ve had a lot of guys that have played in the Cup Final and as recently as a few years ago and I think they’re all playing with that chip on their shoulder.”

Isabelle Khurshudyan: Trotz on starting Grubauer: “I just think that Grubi deserves the opportunity. I think the body of work, especially this year, presented itself. Trust me, it wasn’t an easy decision. I put a lot of factors in. Braden has been the guy for a long time.”
