The Dallas Stars have signed forwards Alexander Radulov to a five year contract worth $31.5 million – a $6.25 million salary cap hit.
Thoughts from the media …
Chris Johnston: “The initial contract ask for Alex Radulov was 7x$7M. He ended up getting 5x$6.25M from Dallas.”
Mike Heika: “In doing due diligence on Radulov, Stars talked to Sergei Zubov, Dan Hamhuis (Nashville) and Vern Fiddler (Nashville) and got good reviews.
Stephen Whyno: ” It’s the richest contract signed in free agency this year, ties for longest.”
Brian Wilde: “Dallas breaks down and finally offers that 5th year that the Habs did not offer. Bergevin needs to find some goals this season.”
Michael Traikos: “The Stars might be my early pick for the Cup. Really like their off-season moves.”
Greg Wyshynski: “Alex Radulov doesn’t really strike me as a “commit five years to him” guy idk maybe that’s just me”
Arpon Basu: Radulov at five years, $30-plus million after one good NHL season is risky. I can understand Habs position, especially after signing Drouin.”
