Scott Powers: Coach Joel Quenneville said that there isn’t a timetable for Corey Crawford to return to the lineup. They haven’t discussed the idea of shutting him down for the season.

Tom Timmermann of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: Forward Zach Sanford was injured on the first day of training camp, but he is close to returning.

“He’s coming along,” coach Mike Yeo said Monday. “I would say he’s obviously not in the lineup tomorrow but we’re going to have to put a plan together for the best way to get him back as quickly as possible is. His strength is there, his skating is there. Conditioning wise we’re very pleased with where he’s at. For him, it’s just a comfort level of him feeling he’s ready to go in and compete and play at his level.”

On the Vegas Golden Knights …

Jesse Granger: Coach Gerard Gallant said that Tomas Nosek is “real close. I’m not sure if he will play tomorrow but he’s close.”

Jesse Granger: Gallant said that Malcolm Subban is out this week and is listed as “week-to-week.”
