The Winnipeg Jets have signed Adam Lowry to a three-year contract.
On the Calgary Flames …

Stephen Whyno: The Flames have put 24-year old restricted free agent defenseman Brett Kulak on waivers. A team can claim him and not give up an asset, but they would have to go to salary arbitration on Monday.

Pat Steinberg: On the Flames putting Kulak on waivers: “Doing some digging on the Kulak/waivers situation, the play is to gain leverage if he clears. If Kulak goes unclaimed, helps Calgary’s case ahead of Monday’s arb hearing. Feel is team and player are far apart in contract talks.”

On the Ottawa Senators and Florida Panthers …

Don Brennan of the Ottawa Citizen: According to Emily Kaplan’s report on ESPN, Mike Hoffman‘s fiancee Monika Caryk has filed an application to seek disclosure of information with the Ontario Supreme Court for the harassment allegations made by Erik Karlsson and his wife.

Caryk is trying to clear her name hand help to expose who the real perpetrators are.

On the Pittsburgh Penguins …

Wes Crosby: The Penguins have signed forward Derek Grant to a one-year, $650,000 contract.

On the Vancouver Canucks …

Rick Dhaliwal: Canucks forward Brock Boeser in his injury status: “I am 100% healthy, I met with the Vancouver doctors 2 weeks ago and they gave me the green light. Feels good to be healthy.”

Rick Dhaliwal: Boeser continued: “I didn’t know how I was going to be when I got back, or how my wrist was going to affect me shooting the puck. But getting those goals is giving me confidence – still lots to work on for me this summer.”

On the Washington Capitals …

Cap Friendly: The Capitals have signed defenseman Madison Bowey to a two-year contract with a salary cap hit of $1 million. They have $7.27 million in salary cap space with 21 players under contract. Tom Wilson is their last RFA that is unsigned.

Tarik El-Bashir: Wilson and Capitals are still having talks regarding a contract extension.

On the Winnipeg Jets …

Winnipeg Jets: The Jets have signed forward Adam Lowry to a three-year contract an $8.75 million – $2.917 million salary cap hit.
