Bruce Garrioch: GM Pierre Dorion said that they would re-evaluate Mark Borowiecki‘s situation when they return to Ottawa.

Erik Erlendsson: With Erik Condra on waivers, it looks likely he’s finally recovered from his back surgery. He is on waivers to get him back playing with Syracuse of the AHL.

On the Washington Capitals …

Tom Gulitti: Coach Barry Trotz said that all of their injured players are day-to-day, aside from Andre Burakovsky. Defenseman Matt Niskanen hasn’t practiced with the team yet. Their next practice is Thursday.

Isabelle Khurshudyan: Trotz said that defenseman Madison Bowey “tweaked something” in their previous game. He could have played, but they were being cautious and held him out.
