Malkin to have a hearing with the NHL department of player safety

NHL Player Safety: Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin will have a hearing today for high-sticking/slashing Philadelphia Flyers Michael Raffl.

Frank Seravalli: “Fair to say if Malkin actually connected with Raffl in significant way his suspension would’ve given Tom Wilson’s initial 20 games a run for longest of the season. Now with major served, could well be borderline between fine and suspension.”
