NHL News: Predators Lock Ryan Johansen Up For Eight Years

The Nashville Predators re-signed Ryan Johansen to an eight-year, $64 million deal

The Nashville Predators have re-signed restricted free agent center Ryan Johansen to an eight-year deal worth $64 million, a $8 million salary cap hit.

The soon-to-be 25-year old suffered a thigh injury in Game 4 of the Conference Finals and required surgery, missing the Stanley Cup Final. He’s expected to be ready for the start of training camp

Johansen was drafted 4th overall in the 2010 NHL draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets. He was traded to the Predators for defenseman Seth Jones.
