Craig Morgan: The Coyotes recalled forward Dylan Strome and reassigned Mario Kempe.

Dave Vest: Strome on being recalled: “I did what they asked me to do when I got sent down & I feel like I’ve really been playing well. ‘Toc’ likes to play quick so I really worked on that. My linemates definitely helped me here. I’m excited to get up there & hopefully stay”

On the Boston Bruins …

Joe Haggerty of NBC Sports: Forward Peter Cehlarik was injured on Friday and will miss at least a month with a lower-body injury – left leg.

The Bruins are still without forwards Ryan Spooner, Brad Marchand, Anders Bjork and David Backes.

Chris Johnston: The Sabres have put Seth Griffith on waivers.

Josh Horton of the Columbus Blue Jackets: Forward Alexander Wennberg is getting closer to returning to the lineup. He practiced with the team yesterday and will travel with them for their game tonight against the Canadiens. Wennberg has been out since November 11th with an upper-body injury.

“It’s a part of hockey, but it comes to a certain point where I couldn’t do it anymore,” Wennberg said. “But I got some time off and healed up, and now I feel 100 percent ready to play.

“If I felt like I could play through it, absolutely I would. But at some point you have to make a decision, and that’s what happened.”

Matthew DeFranks: Forward Evgeni Dadonov was to have an MRI yesterday on his shoulder.

Coach Bob Boughner “be something a little longer than shorter,” but wasn’t sure if it’ll be weeks or months.

Peter Botte of the NY Daily News: Forward Boo Nieves missed Sunday’s game with a hip pointer. Nieves suffered the injury on Friday night against in the Red Wings in the second period. Coach Alain Vigneault said it is a day-to-day issue.

Joe Smith: The Lightning reassigned Cory Conacher, so J.T. Brown is likely to return.
