Three free agents sign overseas
TSN: Defenseman Paul Postma signed with Ak Bars Kazan of the KHL yesterday.
On Tuesday, forwards Tommy Wingels and Lance Bouma signed with Geneve-Servette of the Swiss League.
Igor Eronko: Postma’s deal with Ak Bars is for one-year.
Boeser’s wrist injury is healed
TSN Radio Vancouver: Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser when asked if his wrist is 100 percent: “Yup. Ever I since I got cleared, there have been no setbacks.”
Schneider’s hip had been bothering him for a while
Chris Ryan of NJ.com: New Jersey Devils goaltender Cory Schneider had surgery on his hip back in May to repair torn cartilage. The expected recovery time is five months. Schneider also dealt with some groin issues.
Schneider said that his hip started being an issue in 2016-17, but played through it until the end of last year.
“It was something that had kind of cropped maybe a year and a half ago, a season and a half ago,” Schneider said on the podcast. “It’s just something that nags and it there, but you don’t ever feel like it’s bad enough that you need to sit out for six months, because there’s no real good time to do it, unfortunately.”
Ducks lock up Kase
Curtis Zupke of the LA Times: The Anaheim Ducks have signed forward Ondrej Kase to a three-year contract with a salary cap hit of $2.6 million.
Nick Ritchie is their last remaining restricted free agent
