NHL Rumors: Coyotes, Golden Knights, Rangers, and Stars

New York Rangers Michael Grabner might be the perfect fit for the Dallas Stars.
On the Arizona Coyotes …

Bob McKenzie: There has been trade talk and speculation about Coyotes forward Max Domi. The Coyotes are not actively shopping Domi but would listen to offers. The only untouchables are Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Clayton Keller.

On the Vegas Golden Knights …

Brian Lawton: Have been hearing pending UFA James Neal‘s name more in the rumor mill. He has scored 24 goals this season and is on pace for 36. Multiple teams are interested.

On the New York Rangers …

Larry Brooks of the NY Post: The Rangers are listening to offers on pending free agents Rick Nash, Michael Grabner, Nick Holden and David Desharnais.

The Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning have shown “keen interest” in defenseman Ryan McDonagh. Neither team has made an offer to the Rangers that they “could legitimately consider” for McDonagh.

The “Post” has learned that the Rangers have no urgency to move McDonagh and they could even wait until the draft to move him if they wanted.

Forward Mats Zuccarello is also drawing interest.

On the Dallas Stars …

Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News: Five forwards the Stars could be interested in before the trade deadline.

Michael Grabner – His speed and defensive responsibility would fit in nicely with the Stars. Might be exactly what the Stars need. There could be six or seven teams that would be interested in him, so that might increase the price.

Rick Nash – Cost could be high and the Stars may be better off finding a faster top-six winger.

Mike Hoffman – Would be a good addition for the Stars, but it might take some convincing for the Senators to move him.

Max Pacioretty – Would add leadership and two-way play, but it would cost a lot to acquire him.

Evander Kane – He would bring energy to the Stars lineup, but he also brings baggage with him. He doesn’t have any playoff experience.
