Larry Brooks: Can expect the New Jersey Devils to be one of the most serious and aggressive players on Shattenkirk when free agency opens.

Chris Nichols: Elliotte Friedman on CHED 630: “From what I understand, Buffalo is one of the teams that has made a really big pitch for him.”

Mike Harringon: Think that the Buffalo Sabres are definitely considering free agent defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk, just don’t think that they should sign him.
