NHL Rumors: Jimmy Vesey Decision Likely Coming Today

Jimmy Vesey will make a decision soon

On Jimmy Vesey …

Bob McKenzie: A Jimmy Vesey decision will likely come today, but there is an outside chance it drags on until tomorrow.

Joe McDonald of ESPN: Jimmy Vesey was scheduled to sit down with his agents starting at 4:00 pm yesterday to go over their all their options. A decision is expected by Saturday, possibly today.

According to one of Vesey’s agents, Peter Donatelli, no team has been told they are out of the running.

“No, that’s not true at all,” Donatelli said. “None of the teams we met with have been told that. Everyone is still in the mix. We’re going to try and drill down right now to a few and then either call some teams with some questions or not. We’ll probably reach out to a few teams with some questions that we think were either unanswered or we want clarification on, but that’s the intent today.”

Patrick Kane was in Boston for the Chicago Blackhawks meeting with Vesey.

New Jersey Devils Cory Schneider and Kyle Palmieri spoke with Vesey.

New York Rangers Kevin Hayes has been talking with Vesey throughout the summer.

John Tavares was at the New York Islanders meeting on Tuesday.

Numerous Boston Bruins players were at their meeting that was held at their new practice facility.

Jimmy Murphy: Devils source saying that the Devils believe they are very much in the running for Vesey.

Mike Grinnell: A source who is close with Vesey’s camp in a text: “He reallllllly likes the Devils.”

Howard Berger: Have been told that the Sabres are still in the running for Vesey despite him not signing with them earlier.

DJ Bean: The Bruins met with Vesey and his camp for two and a half hours on Wednesday.
