On the Anaheim Ducks …

Eric Stephens: Goaltender John Gibson is listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury. The injury isn’t from the Patrice Bergeron shot that hit him in the chest area. He will be re-evaluated.

On the Arizona Coyotes …

Craig Morgan: Forward Jordan Martinook is listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

 

On the Colorado Avalanche …

AJ Haefele: Coach Jared Bednar said that Nathan MacKinnon won’t play tonight and is listed as day-to-day.

On Jaromir Jagr …

Dave Isaac: Jaromir Jagr wrote on Facebook that is was a knee injury for the past two months that slowed him down.

On the Los Angeles Kings …

Curtis Zupke: Jonathan Quick is expected to be on the IR until today.

On the Nashville Predators …

Brooks Bratten of NHL.com: Mike Fisher plans on coming out of retirement and has begun skating, building towards signing a contract with the Predators before the February 26th deadline.

Bob McKenzie: “Word is Fisher was quite content in retirement but NSH reached out to him in recent weeks and planted the seed about a possible return. And here we are today, with Fisher having agreed to terms on what is believed to be a one year deal for the balance of this season.”

Bob McKenzie: There is no timetable set for his return.

On the Winnipeg Jets …

Ken Wiebe: Coach Paul Maurice said that defenseman Dmitry Kulikov had a concussion but has been now cleared to play. He could get back in the lineup tonight. Defenseman Toby Enstrom is “fine” according to Maurice.

Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun: Forward Mark Scheifele skated with teammates in no-contact jersey for the first time since his suspected right shoulder injury on December 27th. He could be on track for the six- to eight-week diagnosis.

“He’s skated quite a bit. It’s an upper-body injury, but he’s back moving pretty darn well, which is a positive for us,” said Maurice. “He’ll stay where he is for at least another week before we start banging him around a little bit. But he’s on track.”
