Muzzin is a trade asset for the Kings that could land a nice return
Josh Cooper of The Athletic: If the Los Angeles Kings decided to trade defenseman Jake Muzzin, he’d be one player who would bring them back a nice return. He has a year left at a $4 million cap hit.
“He is tradeable 1) because he’s playing well, 2) because he’s got a somewhat favorable salary and those guys are certainly in demand. So I think that they’re going to blow things up there,” an NHL team scout said. “Who knows? Maybe they think that they’re not so far away. They might think totally different, but I think you’ll see them try to blow things up a little bit.”
The 29-year old Muzzin hopes he’s able to remain with the Kings.
The Kings do have a lot of money tied up in their veterans and Muzzin will be looking for a big deal after next season.
Muzzin is a legit top-three, top-four defenseman.
