It will have to be a series of smaller trades for the Pittsburgh Penguins, and they aren’t impressed with the free agent class

Pens Inside Scoop: Pittsburgh Penguins GM Kyle Dubas said they didn’t have the assets to get into some of the recent trades.

Josh Yohe: Dubas said that they may have to look at doing a series of smaller trades. He added that they won’t be big spenders in free agency as they aren’t really impressed with the market.

The Anaheim Ducks could still bring back two UFA defensemen

Eric Stephens: Anaheim Ducks GM Pat Verbeek on the idea of re-signing pending UFAs Jacob Trouba and Radko Gudas: “The door is obviously still open.”

NHL Trades: Mason McTavish, Pavel Dorofeyev, and JJ Peterka on the Move

Danila Klimovich will become a UFA

Rick Dhaliwal: Vancouver Canucks pending RFA Danila Klimovich will be going to free agency, as he’s requested a change of scenery. The Canucks will accommodate that, according to his agent Dan Milstein.
