Andrew Gross: Forwards Taylor Hall and Marcus Johansson skated Friday and Saturday. Kyle Palmieri had been skating since last Tuesday took yesterday off.
Chris Ryan: Forward Nick Lappin was re-assigned to the AHL. Could be a good sign that at least one of Hall, Johansson or Palmieri are ready to return on Monday.

Larry Brooks of the NY Post: Forward Mika Zibanejad missed his ninth consecutive game last night. Zibanejad suffered a concussion on Nov. 24th, but played in their next game.
“Mika skated on his own and is following the protocol,” Vigneault said. “As far as I know, he’s improving. He’s going to practice with us on Monday.”

Rick Dhaliwal: Defenseman Ben Hutton left practice early yesterday. Coach Travis Green didn’t give an update of Hutton.
On the Washington Capitals …
Isabelle Khurshudyan: Defenseman Brooks Orpik (lower-body) was able to go last night, but T.J. Oshie remained out.
Tarik El-Bashir of NBC Sports: Oshie continues to make progress. He made it through half of practice on Friday in a no-contact jersey. Oshie won’t get back into the lineup until he can get through a full practice.
Monday is their next scheduled practice. They have a three-game road trip this week.
