Andi Petrillo: “Now, you reported that King Center Phillip Danault is generating interest. Is there a team or two to watch in that situation?

Seravalli: “Yeah, one team that I’d keep a real close eye on is the Montreal Canadiens about trying to bring Phillip Danault home. We’ve talked about Jacob Fowler and the excitement around his NHL debut night, but Danault was a big part of some of those Montreal Canadian teams.

NHL Rumors: Predators, Canadiens, and the Flyers

He’s had a really tough season. Hasn’t quite looked like himself. I know the Canadians are one of the teams that are circling around Danault, with the LA Kings. And definitely a name to keep an eye on, because I think he could move even before the December holiday roster freeze, Andi.

The Minnesota Wild may not be done making moves, as they still have a hole that needs addressing

NHL Network: Elliotte Friedman on the NHL Network – On the Fly, talking about the Minnesota Wild after the Quinn Hughes trade and how they may not be done.

“… I had one guy say to me that the central is Death Valley, now. I had another guy say to me, if you really look at it, the three best defensemen in the NHL are now in that division, Quinn Hughes, Cale Makar and Miro Heiskanen. And you’re right, that two-three is going to be a nightmare. And whoever’s left standing to play the other team that wins in the second round, that’s going to be a brutal series.

But you know what? Like, you look at what Colorado has done this year, you look at the fact that Dallas has, despite what Colorado has done this year, Dallas is right behind them. If you’re in the Central Division, you’re looking at those two teams and you’re saying, ‘That’s what we’ve got to go through. We better do what we can to load up.’

NHL Rumors: Minnesota Wild Went All In with Quinn Hughes Can They Keep Him?

And I give Minnesota all the credit in the world for tying this. And I’ll tell you something else, Jamison, I don’t think Minnesota is done. I think they’re going to try to do more, especially down the middle. I don’t know if they’re going to be able to, but I think they’re going to try to do more. I don’t think they’re finished yet.”
