Florida Panthers A.J. Greer likely to test free agency

Sportsnet: Elliotte Friedman and Kyle Bukauskas on 32 Thoughts: The Podcast – Category 5 Hockey episode on Florida Panthers pending UFA forward A.J. Greer, who could be going to market to test his value.

** NHLRumors.com transcription

Friedman: “Oh, by the way, I did have someone tell me that there’s word going around that A.J. Greer is going to hit the market. That, you know, that I think there’s going to be a lot of guys who kind of go out there and check and see what their market is on July 1st. And, and, and decide if there’s any chance to go back to where they are, or if they take something else.

Life Without Gary Bettman as NHL Commissioner???

But I heard it looked like Greer was going to hit the market, and I think that’s going to be a pretty interesting player.”

Bukauskas: “Yeah.”

Friedman: “A good fourth liner on a back-to-back Stanley Cup champion. Could see the market being pretty good for him.”

Bukauskas: “Absolutely, I mean he’s gotten himself in hot water at times with with his play, but you’re right, like there’s no denying the value that, that he brought, especially last year to that Florida Panther team, en route to another Stanley Cup. That always pays.”

NHL Rumors: Jonathan Toews, Edmonton Oilers, and the Toronto Maple Leafs

Quick hits on the Flyers, Ducks, Berube, team willing to trade their firsts, Devils and Stars

David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period: Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Dan Vladar can sign an extension this offseason. Would a five-year deal around $5.75 to $6 million per get it done?

It wouldn’t be a surprise if the Anaheim Ducks revisit talks with the St. Louis Blues about Colton Parayko.

Craig Berube has interviewed with the Edmonton Oilers, and the LA Kings could be next.

The Seattle Kraken could consider trading the No. 7 pick for a top-line forward. The Winnipeg Jets at No. 8 could consider moving the pick for second-line help. They need a 2C and a 2LW. The San Jose Sharks at No. 2 and the Chicago Blackhawks at No. 4, would also consider moving their picks.

2026 Stanley Cup Final Schedule and Results

Would the New Jersey Devils go after Dallas Stars RFA forward Jason Robertson? The Stars are looking for a legit right-handed defenseman.
