The Philadelphia Flyers are looking for a PP QB and a top-six center

Anthony Di Marco of Daily Faceoff: The Philadelphia Flyers will be looking for a defenseman this offseason who could play on the power play.

Elliotte Friedman reported that Anaheim Ducks defenseman, and former Washington Capital, John Carlson, could be looking to return to the East Coast. He’s been linked to the Flyers. Carlson put up 14 goals and 46 assists in 71 games this past season.

Sources are saying the Flyers are still open to moving defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen, and they aren’t moving off their asking price. The Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens could be options for Ristolainen.

The Flyers will also be looking for a top-six center, with Mason McTavish (Ducks) and Matty Beniers (Kraken) as potential targets. It’s not known if either will be available.

Depth at right wing may make Philadelphia Flyers Owen Tippett expendable

NHL Rumour Report:  David Pagnotta on Oilersnation Everyday, on Philadelphia Flyers forward Owen Tippett: “I think Philly, while they like him, they’re getting a little deep on that right side; there may be an opportunity for them to move one of those guys out…and then fill other areas.”

The Montreal Canadiens are interested in Vincent Trocheck

Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Citizen: Speculation has the Montreal Canadiens and New York Rangers talking Vincent Trocheck, who would be an excellent fit on their second line. He carries a $5.625 million cap hit through 2028-29.

Who Could be in on Detroit Red Wings Dylan Larkin? Who Makes Sense?

One insider wondered if Trocheck, who is an American, would want to come to play in Canada.

Rangers forward Alexis Lafreniere and his $7.45 million through 2031-32 is often linked to the Canadiens. Could the Canadiens look to take a massive swing this offseason?
