NHL Rumors: San Jose Sharks and Anaheim Ducks … Los Angeles Kings and Washington Capitals

The Washington Capitals and Los Angeles Kings could be talking Carl Hagelin.
Miller to Sharks rumor denied

John Hoven: Have been hearing that San Jose Sharks and Anaheim Ducks could be talking about goaltender Ryan Miller. A third-round pick could be a potential return.

Miller has a modified no-trade clause which shouldn’t be an issue.

If he’s traded and plays next season, he could sign back with the Ducks.

Jonathan Davis: On Hoven’s report – both sides are denying it but it doesn’t mean what he said is inaccurate. There could be some things that still need to work out.

Paul Gackle: Have been told that there is no truth to the Ryan Miller rumor

Elliott Teaford: Confirming that the Sharks-Ducks trade is not happening.

Kings Clifford drawing interest

Dennis Bernstein: Forward Kyle Clifford will likely high career highs in goals and points and has drawn interest from multiple teams. He has one year left on his deal at a $1.6 million salary cap hit.

Don’t think the Kings really want to move him but teams are calling.

Jon Rosen: Have been hearing the same as Bernstein – multiple teams interested in Clifford.

He’s a good culture guy and he works terrific with the young players.

Hard to say how open the Kings would be about moving him.

Kings and Capitals working on something?

Bob McKenzie: “There is a lot of speculation the deal may be with LAK, maybe for a veteran depth F. Lots of possibilities: Carl Hagelin is UFA at end of season but carries $3.5M cap hit. Trevor Lewis and Kyle Clifford each have a year left after this season, Lewis at $2M and Clifford at $1.6M.”

Isabelle Khurshudyan: Some thoughts on McKenzie’s tweet

“- Caps needed to start the process of clearing $1 million today. That’s obvious. Something is coming, and soon.

– Whether it’s because he started producing or they just weren’t getting what they wanted, I don’t think Caps are as keen on moving Burakovsky anymore.”

Of Hagelin, Lewis and Clifford, Hagelin would make the most sense.
