Panthers talking to their pending UFA
George Richards: Have been hearing that the Florida Panthers are interested in extending pending UFA forward Riley Sheahan and have spoken with his agent about the possibility.
David Pagnotta: Have been told that the Panthers are not planning on moving Sheahan and could work out an extension for him.
Panthers getting interest in Hoffman
Marc Savard: Have heard a couple teams have shown interest in Florida Panthers forward Mike Hoffman. The Arizona Coyotes have made a hard push to acquire him for a hopeful playoff push.
Someone would need to step up for Martinez
David Pagnotta: Not sure if the Los Angeles Kings want to trade defenseman Alec Martinez, but there are teams that are interested. It would likely take a big offer for them to move him.
Have been told that forward Jeff Carter is definitely out there. There are others in play as well.
Interest in Chiasson
Dustin Nielson: Hearing that there are teams in the Pacific Division that have some interest in Edmonton Oilers forward Alex Chiasson.
Canadiens like Hudon for depth
Eric Engels: Have been told that Montreal Canadiens would like to keep Charles Hudon for depth purposes, but if not dressing him with Jonathan Drouin out, they might as trade him.
