NHL Rumour Report: David Pagnotta on the Sekeres and Price show on the Seattle Kraken: “This is a team…that wants to take a big swing and has been trying to take a big swing for the last what, 18 months? is gonna be the centerpiece of that if they can get to that point.”

You know, Jason Botterill has been adamant that he did not give a promise. Kurt Overhart, who represents Shane Wright, has felt there was.
You know, he’s definitely out there, and there definitely is interest. But the Kraken believe that this is still a young player with a lot of potential, and they want that rewarded in any kind of trade.”

Bukauskas: “Right. Can I ask what what’s going on in Detroit? So there’s the Larkin situation. Edvinsson, of course, needs a contract. One of those defensemen. And then there’s the GM question of who’s the guy, who’s the person at the helm that’s going to be navigating all of that stuff?
You reported earlier this week, and it was out there that you know Jeff Greenberg, who was the GM of the Tigers, was a guy that was seriously considered for that position, removed his name from that process. So where are they at? Because training camp is a week away, and they’ve got business to get done.
Friedman: “I wish I had a better answer for you. You know, one of the things out there is that Detroit has asked for permission for some people and hasn’t interviewed them.
And I will confess, as my contract stuff was going on, I kind of dropped out on it a bit. So I have to get a better handle of it on where they are, and I will get to that.
So sorry, Kyle, for the incomplete. I hope I will be able to give you reason to give me a better grade.”
