Bob McKenzie: Goaltender Henrik Lundqvist is a free agent and would like to play next season. He is still waiting for medical clearance so he won’t be signing anywhere right away.

Bruce Garrioch: The Washington Capitals may have reached out Martin Jones.

Adrian Dater: Any decision between the Colorado Avalanche and Philipp Grubauer will come today. There is still a gap between the two sides, it may not be big.

Adrian Dater: The Avs hope to get Grubauer signed but are prepared to move on if they have to.

Free agent options to partner with Pavel Francouz are someone like Braden Holtby or Martin Jones.

Though they are asking for a lot, Arizona Coyotes Darcy Kuemper is another option.

Darren Dreger: Martin Jones is one of several goaltenders that the Toronto Maple Leafs are looking at.

Charlie Roumeliotis: Marc-Andre Fleury may have prefered to be traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins for family reasons.

If Fleury won’t report to training camp, maybe Blackhawks could flip him to the Penguins. They could recoup some assets.

Rick Dhaliwal: There were a lot of teams calling Braden Holtby’s reps yesterday.

Sheng Peng: The San Jose Sharks are not targeting Holtby.

Boston Hockey Now: Tuukka Rask‘s agent on if there was anything new to report on: “Not much really.”

Unless they agree to something in the morning, Rask will be a free agent.

TSN: Pierre LeBrun said that trade talks involving Arizona Coyotes goaltender Darcy Kuemper have intensified. Among the teams in contact with the Coyotes include the Colorado Avalanche, Edmonton Oilers, Toronto Maple Leafs, Carolina Hurricanes, and Philadelphia Flyers.

Frederik Andersen didn’t get a contract offer from the Maple Leafs. The Avalanche and Hurricanes could have interest,

Jaroslav Halak is at the top of the Canucks list.

The New Jersey Devils could be looking at Jonathan Bernier who hasn’t been able to work out a deal with the Hurricanes.

Two other options for the Maple Leafs are Petr Mrazek and Martin Jones.
