Bob McKenzie: The Toronto Maple Leafs basically have a contract extension agreement in place for forward Kasperi Kapanen. It likely only be formalized until the Mitch Marner situation is resolved.

It will be a three-year deal with an AAV in the range of $3.2 and $3.4 million.

Darren Dreger: The Maple Leafs are closing in on a contract extension for forward Andreas Johnsson.

It will be a four-year deal with an AAV in the range of $3.25 and $3.5 million.

Bob McKenzie: Once formalize, expect three years at a $3.2 million AAV for Kapanen and four years at a $3.4 million AAV for Johnsson.

Terry Koshan: Maple Leafs GM Kyle Dubas confirms that the extensions for Kapanen and Johnsson are almost done.
