Craig Custance: The Winnipeg Jets are trying to find a way to re-sign center Paul Stastny. The Jets would need to find a way to move out salary if they were going to bring Stastny back.

Darren Dreger: Stastny will be waiting for a John Tavares decision, and it’s believed he has at least six very interested teams.

David Schoen: Allan Walsh, David Perron‘s agent: “There’s been significant interest in David today. David has loved his time in Las Vegas. He loves his teammates. It’s a very special group. But he’s forced to look at other opportunities.”

On the Arizona Coyotes …

Craig Morgan: Source saying that defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson‘s contract extension is for two years. He will be entering the final year of his contract.

On the Carolina Hurricanes …

Chris Nichols: Elliotte Friedman on his 31 Thoughts Podcast: “I think there was some Victor Rask talk over the draft. I believe that Montreal was talking to Carolina about Victor Rask. I think he’s a player they’re interested in moving.”

Darren Dreger: Teams remain interested in Jeff Skinner, but things remain on hold until after John Tavares signs somewhere. Teams that lose out on Tavares may become more interested.

On the Los Angeles Kings …

Dennis Bernstein: The Kings have been linked to Max Pacioretty and Jeff Skinner, but there are now rumblings that they are looking at blue line options.

On the Washington Capitals …

Isabelle Khurshudyan: The Capitals have just over $13 million in salary cap space. Michal Kempny‘s contract extension could get done soon, with negotiations expected to continue today. RFA forward Tom Wilson will be getting a pair raise.
