With the Werenski and Larkin situations … will Roman Josi be next?

Andy Strickland: “Zach Werenski situation has been brewing for quite some time…similar to the Dylan Larkin situation. These guys want to win and these teams can’t expect to hang onto them forever. If they don’t think they can win, then they will force their way out. Is Roman Josi next?”

The asking price for Mason McTavish remains high as several teams are interested

Marco D’Amico: There is league wide trade interest in Anaheim Ducks forward Mason McTavish, despite the question marks about his game, and the ask is high.

The Minnesota Wild, Ottawa Senators and Philadelphia Flyers have some interest. The Montreal Canadiens are interested, but the asking price would have to come down. They are not interested in overpaying.

The Ducks are looking a return that has a piece(s) could play right away.

A right-handed defenseman and a right-handed center are two areas that the Ducks could use some help at.

The Vancouver Canucks haven’t asked anyone about waiving their no-trade or no-move clause

Thomas Drance: Vancouver Canucks GM Ryan Johnson said that to this point he hasn’t asked any of his players if they’d waive their no-trade or no-movement clauses, specially defenseman Filip Hronek.

“Yes, we’re in a rebuild, but it’s not a sell off, get as young as you can and get your teeth kicked in then think things will naturally happen. We want to insulate players, not just with good players but with great people. It’s not about strip it down as fast as you can.”
