The Ottawa Senators have traded RFA right winger Alex Chiasson to the Calgary Flames for defenseman Pat Sieloff.
The 25-year old Chiasson was drafted 38th overall in the second round of the 2009 draft by the Stars.
The 22-year old Sieloff was drafted 42nd overall in the 2nd round of the 2012 draft by the Flames.
Dean Molberg: Chiasson briefly played for Flames coach Glen Gulutzan in Dallas.
Luke Fox of Sportsnet: Chiasson was a RFA and needed to be qualified today. He signed a one-year deal worth $800,000, a decrease from $1.2 million he made last year.
