The Philadelphia Flyers have traded forward Jordan Weal to the Arizona Coyotes for defenseman Jacob Graves.

The 26-year old Weal was drafted 70th overall in the 3rd round of the 2010 draft by the LA Kings. He carries a $1.75 million salary cap hit.

The 23-year old Graves was undrafted.

Dave Vest: Coyotes coach Rick Tocchet on the addition of Weal: “He plays that center position, which we’re lacking depth at right now, so we’re excited to get him. There’s some offense to his game, and I think he’s got a good hockey IQ, which I like.”

Dave Vest: Coyotes forward Nick Cousins played with Weal in Philadelphia from 2015-17: “He’s a good two-way player,” Cousins said. “He’s got some skill to his game and he’s good on face-offs, so with our injuries we can use a centerman like that. We’re excited to have him.”
