NHL Trade: Penguins Acquire Jamie Oleksiak From The Stars

The Dallas Stars trade defenseman Jamie Oleksiak to the Pittsburgh Penguins

NHL.com: The Dallas Stars have traded defenseman Jamie Oleksiak to the Pittsburgh Penguins for a conditional 2019 fourth round pick.

The Penguins then re-assigned defenseman Kevin Czuczman to the AHL.

Oleksiak carries a $965,000 salary cap hit and will be a restricted free agent after the season.

The 24-year old Oleksiak was drafted 14th overall in the 1st round of the 2011 draft by the Stars.

Chris Johnston: The Stars will receive the earlier of the Penguins two 2019 fourth round picks – the Penguins or the Minnesota Wild’s.
