TSN: TSN is reporting that the Toronto Maple Leafs are not interested in signing Nikolai Zherdev. Zherdev is looking to come back to the NHL next season, and is seeking a multi-year deal paying in the neighborhood of $4 million per season.
The 25-year old Zherdev played last season in the KHL, recording 13 goals and 26 assists in 52 games with Altant.
His last NHL season was in 2008-09 with the New York Rangers, scoring 23 goals and 35 assists in 82 games.
