Darren Dreger: The Panthers are waiting to hear back from Tim Thomas and Ilya Bryzgalov. They can’t have both, but are intrigued to see if either could earn a roster spot through a camp invite. The Panthers believe that Jacob Markstrom is ready to be an NHL starter, but GM Dale Tallon doesn’t like to miss an opportunity.
Andrew Gross: Johan Hedberg will attend Rangers camp on a PTO.
Dan Murphy: Manny Malhotra is still without a contract or PTO.
