Flyers sign Stewart to a PTO

Dave Isaac: The Philadelphia Flyers have signed forward Chris Stewart to a PTO.

Last season Stewart played in the UK. His last NHL season was in Minnesota under Chuck Fletcher. He could be a potential third-line right-wing candidate.

Bill Meltzer: “More likely than not, Stewart is done as an NHL player. His ATO stands a strong chance of playing out along similar lines to the one Hitch extended to R.J. Umberger to try out for the Stars before the 2017-18 season. But it can’t hurt to take a look, as there is no obligation.”
