Darren Dreger via twitter: The Lightning have fired head coach Guy Boucher. Erik Erlendsson via twitter: The top two early candidates could be Lindy Ruff and Jon Cooper. Jim Matheson via twitter: Ruff is owed a bunch of money from the Sabres, hearing about $2 million. If they were to hire him, would have to work that out.

Elliotte Friedman via twitter: The Rangers put Stu Bickel on waivers yesterday.

David Alter via twitter: The Maple Leafs put Leo Komarov on the IR. Leafs have room to call someone up if they want.

John Vogl via twitter: The Sabres made Drew Stafford a healthy scratch last night.
