Alex Prewitt: Capitals Alex Ovechkin left practice early for precautionary reasons with an upper-body tweak.

Farhan Lalji: Canucks Alex Burrows is expected to be in the lineup tonight.

Ansar Khan: Red Wings Brenden Smith (infected hand) likely won’t get clearance for tomorrow.

Ansar Khan: Red Wings Pavel Datsyk will determine after tomorrow’s morning skate if he’ll play or not.

Erik Erlendsson: Lightning’s Victor Hedman practiced again in a no-contact jersey today. Coach Jon Cooper said that Hedman is out tomorrow. He’s “out-ish” for Saturday and should be day-to-day by next week.

Chuck Gormley: Capitals Mike Green didn’t practice today.

Seth Rorabaugh: The Penguins held Beau Bennett out of practice today due to a lower-body injury.
