Conor Ryan: Brad Marchand said that he had a sprained hand to go along with groin and abdominal injuries. He had re-aggravated his hand during a scrimmage.

Marisa Ingei: Matt Grzelcyk on his concussion: “I was good enough to play…. My head feels fine.”

Joe McDonald: Jake DeBrusk wouldn’t go into details but he said that he battled through the concussion since the first round of the playoffs.

Players signings

Matt Layman: The Arizona Coyotes have re-signed Ilya Lyubushkin to a one-year deal. Lyubushkin is a good depth defenseman that took advantage of some injuries that earned him another contract.

Montreal Canadiens: The Montreal Canadiens have signed defenseman Gustav Olofsson to a one-year, two-way deal.
