- Joanne Ireland of the Edmonton Journal: Oilers Ryan Nugent-Hopkins’ flu may keep him out of tonight’s game. He missed Wednesday’s game and didn’t skate yesterday. Eric Belanger should return to the lineup after missing two weeks with a groin injury.
- Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune: Blackhawks Marian Hossadidn’t practice yesterday and is “not likely” going to play on Monday against the Kings. Coach Joel Quenneville said it’s an upper-body injury. A source is saying it’s a shoulder injury.
“(Hossa’s) doing alright,” Quenneville said following Friday’s practice at Johnny’s IceHouse West. “Hopefully he’ll get on the ice on Sunday. He’s progressing.”
