Slava Malamud via twitter: Alexander Radulov is in talks with Salavat about his release. He “can release self unilaterally, would have to give up 2/3 salary.”

Dmitry Chesnokov via twitter: Radulov wants to leave for Nashville right away but Salavat hasn’t granted permission (via @plysenkov and his agents). Salavat wants to keep Radulov’s KHL rights, but that can’t happen if he leaves now, would have to wait for the fall. Which is why he hasn’t received permission yet. Losing Radulov’s rights is not something they want to do. They are at a dead end now. Radulov took a physical in Moscow, and it showed his knee is fine.
