On the Toronto Maple Leafs and Anaheim Ducks …
Chris Johnston of Sportsnet: From the Jonathan Bernier trade to Anaheim, there are four conditions on the draft pick. If the below conditions are not met, the Maple Leafs don’t receive a draft pick.
- Bernier starts 50 percent of the Ducks playoff games and they win the Stanley Cup – Maple Leafs receive the Ducks 2017 2nd round pick. Leafs would get a future 2nd round pick if the Ducks don’t own their 2nd.
- Bernier starts 50 percent of the Ducks playoff games and they lose in the Cup Final – Maple Leafs receive the Ducks 2017 3rd round pick. Transfers to a future 3rd if the Ducks don’t own their 2017 pick.
- If the Ducks trade Bernier and he starts 50 percent of that teams playoff games and they win the Stanley Cup – Maple Leafs get the Ducks 2nd round pick.
- If the Ducks trade Bernier and he starts 50 percent of that teams playoff games and they lose the Stanley Cup – Maple Leafs get the Ducks 3rd round pick.
