The San Jose Sharks have signed forwards Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau to three-year contract extensions.
The 34-year old Thornton’s three-year deal is for $20.25 million, a $6.75 million salary cap hit. He’s coming off a three-year deal worth $21 million.
The 34-year old Marleau’s three-year deal is for $20 million, a $6,666,667 million salary cap hit. He’s coming off a four-year deal worth $27.6 million, a $6.9 million salary cap hit.
Thornton was draft 1st overall in 1997 by the Bruins. Marleau was drafted 2nd overall in 1997 by the Sharks.
