NHL Trade: Maple Leafs Send Reimer To The Sharks

James Reimer traded to the San Jose Sharks

The Toronto Maple Leafs have traded goalie James Reimer and forward Jeremy Morin to the San Jose Sharks for goalie Alex Stalock, Ben Smith and a conditional 2018 4th round pick.

The 27-year old Reimer was drafted 99th overall in the 4th round of the 2006 by the Maple Leafs. He carries a $2.3 million cap hit.

The 24-year old was drafted 45th overall in the 2nd round of the 2009 draft by the Thrashers. He carries a $800,000 cap hit.

The 28-year old was drafted 112th overall in the 4th round of the 2005 draft by the Sharks. He carries a $1.6 million cap hit.

The 27-year old was drafted 169th overall in the 6th round of the 2008 draft by the Blackhawks. He carries a $1.5 million cap hit.
