Tortorella Suspended for 15 days … Hartley fined

The NHL has suspended Vancouver Canucks head coach John Tortorella for 15 days (6 games) and fined Calgary Flames head coach Bob Hartley $25,000 for their actions on Saturday night.

Elliott Pap: The NHL on Tortorella: “His actions were both dangerous and an embarrassment to the League.”

Elliott Pap: Tortorella can return on Feb. 3rd against the Red Wings.

Wes Gilbertson: Colin Campbell on Hartley: “We are holding Mr. Hartley responsible for the actions of Flames’ right wing Kevin Westgarth, who took the game’s opening face-off and attempted to instigate a premeditated fight with an unwilling opponent.”
