The Columbus Blue Jackets have traded defenseman James Wisniewski and the Red Wings 2nd round pick for a 2015 2nd round pick, William Karlsson and Rene Bourque.
The 31-year old Wisniewski was drafted 156th overall in the 5th round of the 2002 draft by the Blackhawks. He has two year left on his deal with a $5.5 million cap hit.
The 22-year old Karlsson was drafted 53rd overall in the 2nd round of the 2011 draft by the Ducks.
The 33-year old Bourque was undrafted and carries a $3,333,333 salary cap hit.
