Trade: Washington Acquires Gleason from Hurricanes for Hillen and Pick

The Carolina Hurricanes have traded defenseman Tim Gleason to the Washington Capitals for defenseman Jack Hillen and a 4th round draft pick that originally came from the Coyotes in the Martin Erat trade.

The 32-year old Gleason was drafted 23rd overall in the 2001 draft by the Senators. He carries a $1.2 million cap hit.

The 29-year old Hillen was undrafted and carries a $700,000 cap hit.
