Hockey Night in Canada’s Hotstove: Panel talks about Stamkos’s injury (could be a three month injury). Potential GM candidates for the Sabres are Jim Benning, Rick Dudley, Paul Fenton and Jason Botterill. The Sabres may not wait to trade Ryan Miller if someone calls about him before a new GM is hired. Shawn Matthias may be the next Panther to be traded, and Friedman thinks the Canucks could be interested. The Blue Jackets have been scouting the Oilers, Friedman not sure if the talks went anywhere. The Oilers may like Nikita Nikitin. Healy doesn’t think Michael Del Zotto will be traded. Nail Yakupov is being talked about in trades
