Tracey Myers: Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Cam Ward is out seven to 10 days with a knee injury.

Faksa should be fine … Injured Stars update

Mark Stepneski: Dallas Stars coach Jim Montgomery said that Radek Faksa doesn’t have a concussion and should be fine.

Matthew DeFranks: Stars on the IR: Tyler Pitlick (wrist surgery), Stephen Johns (post-traumatic headaches), Marc Methot (knee surgery), Martin Hanzal (back).

Andrew Cogliano is out with an upper-body injury and Mats Zuccarello has a broken arm.

Mike Heika of NHL.com: Zuccarello will begin skating soon.

“No pucks, no sticks, just skating,” Zuccarello said. “Not the part of what I think is fun about hockey, but it will be good to get on the ice and keep in shape.”

Weber out

Canucks injury updates

Ben Kuzma: Vancouver Canucks forward Ryan Spooner is day-to-day with a groin issue and defenseman Ben Hutton is a game-time decision tonight after missing practice yesterday. Hutton blocked a shot in their previous game.

Vancouver Canucks: Coach Travis Green with some injury updates.

Defenseman Chris Tanev skated and “is feeling a little better.”

Forward Jake Virtanen skated and is “not too far away.”

Forward Sven Baertschi is improving.

Forward Ryan Spooner is questionable for tonight.
